How the Montana Medical Marijuana Law Works:
Montana's medical marijuana law is codified in MCA 50-46 (PDF). To become a legal medical marijuana patient in Montana, you must:- suffer from a qualifying condition (chronic pain, HIV, cancer, glaucoma, et al), and;
- fill out two forms [patient (PDF) & doctor (PDF)] and send them to DPHHS with the appropriate fee ($25 currently)
Then, after you are approved by the state and receive your medical card, you and your caregiver (if designated on the form) may each legally grow up to six plants, and possess up to one ounce of usable marijuana. For more detailed information, see:

Montana NORML cannot assist you with finding seeds, clones, plants, or marijuana.In addition to caregivers, a Google search may help identify sources of seeds, growing equipment, and cultivation advice. Just remember that possession and growing of marijuana is always a federal crime in the United States, and so discretion is wise.
